Info & Weekly program
Hello everyone! I’m Matias from Mielle.
I’m arranging a meeting place and a welcoming space for international students this summer called ”Urban Campfire”. You are warmly welcome to join!
We gather together at Mahis backyard (adress: Läntinen kasarmintori 6, 65100 Vaasa).
Starting from 15th July and ending 9th August. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 16-19 (4pm to 7 pm) and on Saturdays 12-15 (noon to 3 pm). No activity on Saturday 25th July.
Urban Campfire is for ages 16-29. Note! We are a alcohol and drug free.
The program
Wednesday:
”Welcome & Warm-up.” The theme is to get to know each other, and the topics are different for every week, By the campfire if the weather allows.
Thursday:
Culture & stories.
With different themes for every week like food, music etc.
Friday: Activity Friday (On 7th August we’ll have our own Olympic Games)
Different outdoor games available every time. If you want you can also bring own games from your culture, also might have Guided Meditation groups at the end. Dress according to the weather.
Saturday: Chill & Chat about studies. Everything from tips and tricks to course planing discussions to student survival guides. On Saturdays we also might do Nature walks. We will always start from Mahis backyard and go together or in small groups to different locations for discussions.
All our activities are free to join if you want. You can also just come and chill.
We have also partnered up with some other organisations and they will introduce their work and services. Maybe even som activities of their own.
We also have some small snacks for free. You can bring your own food to share if you want especially the days when we have topics about food.
